Handling a deceased estate can often be a heavy burden for relatives. Not only must grief be processed, but also a large number of practical matters. When all paperwork has been completed, what remains is managing the household contents. Items must be fairly distributed, some must be sold, and the rest removed. After that, the home needs to be cleaned ahead of sale or transfer. Björnssons Auction House has extensive experience in handling deceased estates. Since 1995, we have assisted many families throughout Skåne. We can help with valuations for estate inventories, as well as appraising individual items to ensure a fair distribution of belongings that are to be kept.

We assist in selling remaining items through our well-established online auctions in collaboration with Auctionet. This provides you with the assurance that items receive maximum exposure through detailed descriptions and images, and that they achieve strong market prices. Any remaining items that cannot be sold at auction are handled by us—we arrange clearance. Some items are donated, for example to the Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation, and others are taken to recycling. If cleaning of the property is required afterward, we can take care of that as well.

When it comes to entire homes and estates, we always arrange a home visit where we review the best solution together with you. During the visit, you will receive information about potential costs as well as an approximate estimate of what the sale may generate. This ensures transparency and helps you avoid any unexpected expenses. All our home visits are free of charge. If written valuation certificates are requested, a fee applies.
